Demonstration of Selfless Sympathy With Abducted Girls

The wide uproar surfaced after abduction of 223 school girls by Islamic militants refreshed the subject of human right withheld by its champions, which does not match with the claims made. The modern world seemingly claims to have protected the women rights to the greatest yet the wretched treatment surfaced on daily account unearth their truth. Women till date are rendered the object of repression, violence, objectification, physical abuse, social denial from right to self-determination and independent pursuit of happiness and the list goes on.

Women personify innocence, gorgeousness, gracefulness and fidelity, commanding equal right and due respect by fellow men. Nevertheless, men derived by lustful desire of treasure, piece of land and forged ideology drove mad to an irreversible extend; in the quest for meeting their objective which has turned them myopic to read out the underlying worth of fellow women. It is said that women are treated as third class citizens in the state of Nigeria.

Formerly, Boko Haram a Muslim militant organization operating in Nigeria abducted 276 Christian school girls from the northeastern town of Chibok, in Borno state, which has a sizable Christian community. Some of whom luckily escaped, but 223 of them are still with an outfit organization in a mysterious place.  Boko Haram has been waging an increasingly deadly insurgency in Nigeria’s mainly Muslim north since 2009, attacking schools teaching a ‘Western’ curriculum, churches and government targets.

There are multiple attacks launched by the militant organizations against civilians, foreigners and public places. Reportedly, the successive wave of violence has claimed lives of more than 1,500 killed this year alone while tens of thousands have been displaced after their homes and businesses were demolished.

Previously, the militant organization released a video that shows the missing Nigerian schoolgirls are coerced to accept Islam. The footage shows about 130 girls in black and grey full-length hijabs sitting near trees, reciting verses of Holy Quran. The group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, speaks in the video obtained by AFP for 17 minutes, letting a precondition that the girls would not be released until all militant prisoners were freed. The act earned infamy for Islam and Muslims equally given they are portrayed as a violent, extremist, annoyed to modern education and inclined, using women to further their extreme agendas. Even then more or less, all the Muslim countries observed silence over such inhuman act.

In the meanwhile France hailed the world leader conference to discuss the needs of safe and sound recovery of all girls. President Goodluck Jonathan is harshly criticized for such incompetence. In the quest to uncover girls, United States, Britain, France, China and Israel, have sent specialist teams to help in the search effort. Moreover, an international campaign “we want back our girls” is launched to mobilize the world leaders, ensuring triumphant recovery of girls. The efforts will only crystallize when all the countries put forth their interest free services to the Nigerian government.
