The Tragic Incident in Balochistan

Seemingly, the shadow of death is not leaving small Hazara community in Balochistan of Pakistan. Last Sunday when ten buses were carrying Shia pilgrims back home from Iran were targeted and 22 people, including women and children, were killed on the spot and over thirty others sustained wounds some of whom may lose life on the way to hospital. The dead included around 4 members of Hazara community. “There were explosions after the buses were parked outside the Hashmi & Murtaza Hotels where the pilgrims were going to stay overnight before they commenced their journey back the following day,” Akbar Hussain Durrani Blochistan’s home secretary said adding that the blasts were followed by intense firing.

But unfortunately, despite such tragic incident, it did not find wide coverage on national and international newspapers. However, the family members of the effected wrote in social media that previously people were angry with politicians and security forces who are blamed of having hands with terrorists because it was highly unlikely that such spectacular attacks be carried out against a small community but even regionally strong security establishments fail to prevent, now even the media has not paid due attention.

They were right. Later it was revealed that the Pakistani newspapers, all focused and highlighted the attack on Karachi airport but majority whether did not write anything or superficially went away from the incident.

Both provincial and central government should be more focused on what is taking place in Quetta. Every single soldier and police knows that members of the community would come under attack due to their oriental features. So, how on the earth the master minds are not brought into justice despite the fact and most of the time Lashkar-e-Jhangvi openly claims the responsibility but its leaders walk freely inside the country.

Why the security apparatus is not acting seriously which finally changes Pakistan into another center of terrorism.

So, hopefully the underground atomic bomb of tragedy should be noticed. What is going on in Quetta, if is not stopped, can led to incidents far more tragic.
