Due to political uncertainty that might have sparked any disorder, the election commission postponed the announcement of partial result of second round of Presidential election which was due to be announced on Wednesday July 2. However, it argued that due to some technical problems the announcement of results was postponed while others are in view that the decision was made because of worries about the subsequent reaction of two presidential candidates.  It is looking forward to see what will be the result of political bargains at the backstage.

What is clear is this that many figures, national and international, are trying their best to find a solution to the deadlock that appeared after Dr. Abdullah one of the two candidates in the second round cut all ties with election commissions and announced that he did not trust the election commission and hence did not accept whatever the commission announces as the result of the elections. Till now he and his supporters put several demands whose fulfillments are a pre-condition for resumption of relation with election commissions.  Previously, he demanded the discharge of Zia-ul-Haq Amekhel, the election commission head over frauds he committed for the sake of Dr. Ashraff Ghani Ahmadzai.  But right after the release of an audio tape which is claimed belonging to Amerkhel, he resigned however did not accept the charges, including the audio tape.

However, it was felt that his resignation at least opens a door between Abdullah Abdullah and the election commissions but seemingly it has not yet. For his points of view, many officials of the commissions have also hands in such fraud.

Meanwhile, President Hamid Karzai who few days ago said that he would say goodbye as President and will inaugurate the new president as per schedule, within only a month, till now acted so cool. Civilians are worried that one of the two candidates does not accept the result of the election which certainly set the political process cliff-bounded truck.

Now people are looking towards their political elites. How they are going to pay them back as they put their lives on the line to cast their votes. Will politicians respect them or simply gamble for their pursuit of political power. Reportedly, the delegates of Dr. Abdullah and Ashraff Ghani have set to discuss the problem and find a solution and there will be a meeting the two. Thus, the few upcoming days will determine what will happen to will and wishes of people due to obnoxious activities of careless politicians.
