An Exemplary Ramadan Campaign of Afghan-Turk Schools

Yesterday, keeping their many years old tradition, Afghan-Turk Schools arranged a Ramadan campaign in which edibles were distributed among more than two thousand poor and deserving families. This worth praising campaign was arranged by Afghan-Turk schools, the Association of Afghan-Turk Businessmen (ATSIAD) and Turkish International NGO, KIMSE YOKMU.

In this campaign, each family was given with a sack containing edibles sufficient for a family for more than a week. Before the campaign started, all the efforts were made to find the deserving and needy families. The distribution was nicely arranged in Ariana Afghan-Turk High School where the deserving were given the food items.

Afghan-Turk Schools along with the Turkish NGO KIMSE YOKMU have set a long tradition of helping Afghan people on different occasions. Along with providing international standard education to the Afghan children, these schools have long been respected and honored for their charity activities. Afghan Turk Schools, in coordination with KIMSE YOKMU were the first to reach to the help of our flood-hit brothers in northern parts of the country this year. They were again in the front row to help the bereaved and victimized families of Badakhshan land sliding.

Afghan-Turk schools have also worked incessantly to improve the image of Afghans throughout the world by sending their bright Afghan students in international Olympiads and competitions in different parts of the world. The stories of success of these students have not only brought good name for their families and school but also for all Afghans. In the same way, these schools send dozens of Afghan students every year for higher education in Turkey from where our country is being provided with skilled and professional university graduates and masters.

Ramadan is a month of blessings and sharing. Almost every individual tries his best to put his share in doing good to others. No doubt, our Afghan philanthropists have also arranged many different programs of charity and goodwill but it also remains a fact that our Turkish brothers have always championed in this regard. We, as Afghans, greatly admire and appreciate their efforts and have all the respect and admiration for this charity-loving nation. The efforts of Afghan-Turk Schools and KIMSE YOKMU set an example for all of us to follow so that we may also be of more and more help to our poor and needy brothers and sisters in this month of blessings and charity.
