Kabul Police Chief Must Notice!

The citizens of Kabul and other major cities are much in pain and distress by the increasing lawlessness in the members of police. The problem has been repeatedly mentioned in these lines but no action has been taken by the concerned authorities in this regard. Policemen have taken the shape of Mujahidin who once acted as it pleased them and ignored any kind of law or human sensitivity. There are large numbers of complaints from the policemen but some of the major ones are;

Policemen are mostly complained of their rough and improper driving on the roads of the city. When they drive, they ignore all the traffic rules and norms and rights of other drivers on the road. They overtake other drivers from wrong sides, they drive very rough and fast, they use their sirens unnecessarily, they shout or use bad language when a driver doesn't give them the way and sometimes, they even stop a car and beat the driver. Due to these reasons, people feel fear from them and try their best to avoid them and quickly give them the way.

In the same way, they are not much aware of dealing properly the people in different social setups. They are not much trained as how to talk with people and they are complained to be having very short tempers and using bad language against the public. Some shopkeepers complain that they pay less or sometimes don’t pay when they take things from shops. In the same way, they have been noticed teasing the girls or giving ridiculous remarks and making fun of people passing or standing nearby. Whenever someone dares to ask them about their misbehavior, they soon show their gun and threaten the person badly of the dangerous consequences.

It has also been mentioned here before as well but still our policemen enter the mosques with their shoes which are enraging the public. People are of the view that when they go to the house of their officers, they take their shoes off while they enter the mosque with their shoes on.

The increasing trend of use of drugs and alcohol and child sex abuse (especially those miners caught by police for a crime or those poor kids working on the road sides) is both frightening and defaming for the entire police force.

All these factors are resulting in the decrease of trust of common public on police and increase of hatred and dislike by them. Once again, we request the police officers and especially the Chief of Kabul Police to take necessary actions in this regard.
