Alternative Scenario awaits Afghan Society, Iran Shelters Taliban Militants

Presence of America in Afghanistan is more like a warning for the neighboring countries. Among all the neighboring countries, Iran was the only country that besides not appreciating US-Afghan long term strategic partnership agreement urged Afghan senior senate members not to vote for its final approval. Allegedly, the ambassador of Iran in Kabul along urging the Afghan lawmakers of rejecting to vote for approval of Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two countries warned that in case of approving the decision, Iran will deport all Afghan refugees residing in Iran.

Moreover, President Mohammad Ahmadi Nijad during a meeting at a regional conference in Bejjing notified Presient Karzai to evacuate the surroundings of U.S. army bases for the sack of safety, according to senior Afghan officials.

US-Afghan long term strategic partnership agreement was not good news for all the neighboring countries. But none of them reacted as seriously as Iran did. Iranian government who used to oppose the Sunni militant (Taliban) government in Afghanistan is likely emerging to shelter them in eastern region of its territory in Zahedan city of Baloch ethic dominated zone.

According to a piece of report quoted by the Western official in an article that Tehran Builds on Outreach to Taliban, "Iran, a Shitte theocracy wasn't so friendly with the Sunni Taliban government ousted by the U.S in 2001 and has not permitted an official Taliban presence in the country up to now. But these days both sides are trying to put aside ideological values and put hands in glove in order to face their elder uncle in the region. Iran and Taliban are both on the same boat and consider America as their bigger enemy."

The scenario of post 2014 is getting quite complicated. There were reports that Iran was supporting militants in Afghanistan in the past as well. But it was not as openly as it seems to be after 2014. The recent launch of new air missiles in the space, permitting Taliban to have their office in Zahedan and issuing new laws of no movement zones for Afghan refugees are the sign of officially countering USA and its alliances in response to the newly imposed sanctions laws on Iran.

It has been for years that American government is in a cold battle with Iran on Nuclear weapon issues. U.S. officials have long been claiming that Iran's Uranium enrichment is not safe for the world's safety, but Iranian officials have rejected the claims that its nuclear program is nothing more than using it as source of energy and it is being enriched for peaceful purposes.

Now that the long term presence of America on Iran's doorstep is sure, Iran does not hesitate to play any game in order to keep America busy within Afghanistan and of course the other neighboring countries will indirectly support Iran's strategy of challenging USA's presence in the region. But who has to host the drama is for sure, the poor Afghan people.
