Finally, the Civilians are to Pay the Price

Every year September08 was officially approved by President Hamid Karzai in 2002 to be honored as a national holiday in respect to the commemorations of war victims and it is known as the MassoudDay.

The incident such as firing and suicide attacks are not neglected during the day and the city is under tight security coverage, but despite of the so-called tough security condition,Kabul was the witness of a suicide attack on Saturday, September 08, 2012 and firing incidents in different part of the city.

The attack was carried out near the headquarter of NATO-led international coalition (ISAF) in Kabul and it left behind sixdeaths and five injured. "The victims have been reported to be children who are roaming around the base for selling small items to the soldiers in the base."

A police official told to foreign news agency, as usual, an hour after the incident; Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed the responsibility and said that Taliban carried out the attack targeting U.S. intelligence.

Though, the Taliban spokesman have claimed that they have carried out the attack targeting U.S. agencies, but the information we have in hand isthat the causalities are children not U.S. officials. Taliban have long been claiming that they are the Islamic fighters who have emerged to push back the US-led international forces and establish a government based on Islamic constitutions.

But what they have been doing is against any type of constitution. Their slogan of beheading anyone who is against their ideology is not mentioned in any holy book yet. They have been slaughtering and torturing the innocent people since 1996 by using the religious slogans of protecting it; in fact, they are not protecting the religion and civilians. In contrast, they are abusing the human rights and religion by using religious slogans.

Taliban's key leader Mullah Mohammad Omar during different occasions has declared that he is not the enemy of Afghan people; his soldiers have been trying to safeguard the innocent civilians.

But what makes his claim no more than fake statements are the recent civilian targeted attacks on Hotel Spozmai in Qargha lake, the attack on shopping market in Zaranj and several attacks on passengers inMaidan Wardak that took the lives of more than 70 innocent civilians indicate that Taliban do not know the meaning of human rights. They have violated the concept of human rights during different occasions.

It makes no difference whom the Taliban assailants have been targeting, but the innocent civilians have been paying the price of their targeted attacks by their blood. Saturday's attack has been the same as the previous attacks, Taliban claim that they have targeted the U.S. agencies, but what we have witnessed are the innocent children on the ground that had gotten out of their home for a loaf of bread.
