Continuously increasing brutality of private militia, Arbaki, is raising serious questions about the evil intentions of this militia. In one of the recent bloody incidents, members of this militia attacked and killed more than a dozen civilians in a province.

The reason was given that these civilians had attacked and injured one of their fellow soldiers that infuriated them a lot and then they forgot the rule of law and did whatever seemed justified to them. Later reports have found that the majority of the civilians killed had no link with the attack and were found to be absolutely innocent.

This is one of the accidents that came on surface and got the attention of media. In the far-flung remote areas where there is very limited access of media and human rights observers, such tragic events and uncontrollable mishaps have reached far beyond the imagination. Lack of any accountability and control has given them a free hand to do anything they wish.

There are also heard a lot many complaints against them. First, they have been hired without considering any kind of criteria, so according to acknowledged sources, most of these militia members include thieves, robbers, murderers and other criminal minded people who have a very suspicious and rather contemptible past history and reputation. Secondly, they have not been made accountable or answerable to anyone so they handle the situations according to their wishes and not according to any set standards.

When they attack a group of militants or Taliban and inflict harm to them in the most brutal way, they are usually lauded for this but unfortunately this improper and barbarous style of them does not stop here, they usually keep practicing their skills on local but voiceless people and majority of such cruelties never reach to the media as well.

As they don't have any well-defined or trusted characters so they have been repeatedly complained of being involved in immoral and illegal acts like stealing things, taking the belongings of others by force, regularly arranging gatherings in which all the members drink alcohol, smoke heroine or other narcotics, or even bring the prostitutes for their pastime. They have even attacked on the adult girls and boys of people with evil intentions.

This all his turned the common public against them and has greatly damaged the image of government in these areas. People now ask if there is present a well-organized army and police force, then why should there be present an alternate force that is full of evil elements.

This evil force should be either abolished immediately or controlled properly otherwise, it would get so strong that our security forces will be fighting a brutal enemy within our borders.
