Xi Jinping Meets Barrack Obama

After a year from the first meeting of Barrack Obama and Xi Jinping, when he was the deputy to ex-leader of China and Obama was competing with his republic rivals for presidency, both once again squeezed each other’s hands to soften the bilateral relationship.

Indisputably, the destiny of the bilateral relation somehow is linked to approach and recognition of these two global figures of each other’s concerns and complains.

President Obama has frequently highlighted some criticisms. There are several issues that have irritated the Washington. It complains that China deliberately keeps the value of Yuan, the Chinese currency, low in order to win over its rivals in the global market. The lower rate of

Yuan against Dollar certainly ends to availability of Chinese goods at very competitive price. On the other hand, Beijing is also worried that US embarks to print huge amount of Dollar which on one hand decreases the rate of Dollar against other major global currencies and on other hand dwindles its more than two trillion foreign reserves. The US also constantly complained about cyber-attacks detected, which are allegedly organized from somewhere in China. Washington officials vividly claimed that such attacks were backed by government to steal classified information regarding highly strategic and determinative weaponry systems.

It is also about support of North Korea whose missile and nuclear programs have increasingly worried its neighbors. On the other side, China also has considerations and suspicions of US activities. It is against any military support to Taiwan and its increasing presence in the South Asian countries. It seems strategic approach as clear sign that it is aimed to encircle China and prevent its growing economic and military rise.

In spite of all such differences, both countries understand that their economic and political cooperation are of high importance. US is the biggest market for Chinese goods and the growing level of consumption will soon change to a very interesting market for American goods. Last year, the bilateral trade went beyond six hundred billion dollars. So, problem between two countries not only affect both countries but will plunge the global economy.

Moreover, closer relationship between first and second economies of the world will help the global stability. It is hoped that with warmer bilateral relation, both start a very friendly cooperation regarding Afghanistan. China has very close relations with Afghanistan and its companies have invested in billions in mineral resources.

Hopefully, a better relation between Washington and Beijing motivates both the countries to play more effective role in bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan.
