The first step in starting to eat healthier is to determine what kind of diet one would want to follow, it needs to be one that one can stick to and includes favorite foods. The diet one chooses to follow needs to be well balanced and have a variety of foods so one does not get bored eating the same foods over and over.

One can have some dessert occasionally; just do not have a large serving. Use herbs to add flavor to foods instead of salt. One also needs to determine how many calories one should consume each day to stay healthy but also that will allow one to reduce or maintain a proper weight. It is recommended that women consume 1500 calories a day and men consume 2000 calories a day, these amounts may vary; consult a doctor to know for sure what would be right for one’s individual needs.

Making healthy eating choices makes one healthier than making poor eating choices because eating healthy is very beneficial and makes one feel better. The next step would be to find recipes that are within the dietary guidelines and support the diet one wishes to follow. In this month of holy Ramadan we really ought to be cautious regarding our foods and beverages. These hot days of summer along with observing fast really dehydrates and lessen our energy, for that purpose we should take healthy foods to maintain our lost energy. We should keep diet as well in order to keep ourselves healthy.

A balanced healthy diet gives people more energy and makes one feel better. Also it lowers one’s chances of being susceptible to many diseases. Incorporating physical activities and exercise on a regular basis will make one’s healthy eating plan work even better. Eating healthy and exercise go hand in hand to help one reach and maintain a healthy weight. In month of Ramadan people can exercise though some people do not exercise because they think that exercise in this month may bring side effect which is totally wrong concept we can exercise after taking our Iftari.

Eating healthy and exercise will also give one a sense of well being, reduce stress, help one sleep well, and exercise also helps control one’s appetite. It is recommended to take foods which can replace the dehydration and make up our bodies lose water. Doctors do recommend taking light foods in Sahari it is because when we take heavy food it makes our stomach work more than its normal task. Taking liquids like milk, juice, fruits and water can immensely help you be fresh during days of Ramadan.
