Seven people killed in an explosion in eastern Uruzgan Province. Police has said that all casualties were civilians, four of them children. Farid Aayel the spokesman of Uruzgan police said that several civilians riding bicycle fell to victims of a bomb in Charchin district which left two children and one father death and a another child injured. Police officer has said that three other explosions took place a day before, Saturday, killed four people, including two other children.
No one has taken the responsibility but generally Taliban militants are blamed for. Similarly, series of attacks took place in Nangarhar province. A bomb has killed 16 women and two children in a cemetery. They were visiting the grave of a wife of a pro-government tribal leader during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, when the device went off. It appeared that many of the victims were from the same family.
At least three people were also injured. The graveside bombing is the latest in a series of attacks in the province on the border with Pakistan. It follows a massive blast at the Indian consulate in the provincial capital, Jalalabad. Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, the Nangarhar governor's spokesman, said that the bomb appeared to have been hidden near the grave. Mr. Abdulzai suggested the motive may have been personal enmity; however, it was rejected by a member of the family.
Such inhuman incidents are not rare in the country. Militant actually do not care about the festival and that should celebrate along with the rest of their fellows. The only thing that they think about is how to devise in order to deal maximum casualties to people. During past years, they have stick to every tricks to carry out successful attacks. They devised bombs within the coffins and killed tens of people who gathered to mourn. They targeted marriage ceremonies killing women and children. Meanwhile, they claim to establish an Islamic government. There is no one to question them that what is the guilt of a child that still does not differentiate between good and bad?
So, considering such evil activities, Afghan people should understand these groups and do not fall for their attractive slogans. Their activities only defame Islam and certainly they use religion just to cover their heinous activities.
