There may be many flaws, shortcomings and defects in the process of reconstruction of Afghanistan but one fact is really satisfactory that genuine and serious efforts are being made to bring up an army that should be able to safeguard the sovereignty of country and meet all the expectations. It is the reason why, present shape of our ANA is really impressive and both our local and international military experts agree that our security forces are ready to completely shoulder the responsibility of the protection of our borders and maintain order inside the borders.
This fact is also testified by the general opinion of public about our security forces. General public has developed a perception that Afghan National Army (ANA) includes of all professional, brave and patriot soldiers and they always expect good performance from them.
It might be in the knowledge of many that permanent efforts are made to educate, train and equip every member of National Army and in this regard, there has been made no compromise as the security and solidarity of country depends on them. A couple of days before, there were news of successful completion of training by a branch of Army and this news was highly motivating to people from all the spheres of life.
Along with these professional qualities, it is also worth-praising that many members of our security forces follow the teachings of religion and are noticed to be offering their prayers and they spare some time to offer their prayers when they are posted for a duty somewhere. Similarly, a large number of our security forces can be seen in mosques in Friday congregations or daily prayer congregations. But there is a bit painful point in this regard which needs the attention of individual soldiers and their seniors. Some of the soldiers are found to be offering the prayers in the mosque with their shoes. As the personnel of police and army are on alert when they are on duty so they can be exempted from removing their shoes when they are offering their individual prayers in their private places but in mosques where everyone becomes very sensitive to take care of its sanctity and cleanliness and give extreme respect to it, such an act of security forces cannot be termed to be rational. They can spare a couple of minutes and join the congregation and enter the mosque after removing their shoes and show the respect which is associated with this important place.
Majority of our people are very emotional regarding religion and we have noticed that they feel really bad when they see that anyone has entered the mosque with his shoes. A reason is given that these personnel can never dare to enter the room of a minister or their seniors with their shoes so how they think it logical to enter the house of Allah with their shoes?
It is hoped that this important message would be noticed and conveyed to all the officers and soldiers of our security forces and their seniors will direct them to be careful in this regard because it is our wish that the respect and love of our soldiers should keep multiplying in the hearts of our people.
