Perpetrators must be Brought to Justice!

The meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) was briefed that the attack on Serena Hotel was engineered and backed by foreign spy agencies and there was no evidence of the involvement of Taliban or Haqqani Network in these attacks. This briefing was given by the authorities of National Directorate of Security (NDS). The Council directed NDS to carry out thorough investigation of the incident and give detailed report about the perpetrators before the next meeting of the Council.

This sad incident claimed the lives of 10 innocent civilians in which some foreigners were also included. The stone-hearted terrorists did not hesitate to shoot at and kill two small children of a journalist and this sad incident really saddened the nation. It was done on the happy occasion of New Year that turned our joys into sorrows.

According to the reports, the hotel is guarded by a company called ‘Shield’ with its large number of guards and other personnel. The question arises as why this company failed to stop the intake of weapons inside the hotel given that they have all the equipments necessary for the detection of weapons. All those responsible should be thoroughly investigated and brought into justice.

In past as well, there were reports of the activities of foreign spy agencies to destabilize the country. Usually these spy agencies take the services of locals for spreading terror and meeting their heinous objectives. However, they facilitate the local criminals and terrorists by giving them access to the intensely guarded places or providing them with the required maps, locations or weapons. Our security agencies also discovered the secret hands of foreign agencies in a number of incidents and claims were made that the results of investigations would be made public and perpetrators would be brought into justice but till today, no such action has been taken and this bloody game continues, claiming the lives of innocent and neutral citizens.

It is hoped that, after this sad incident, a proper investigation will be conducted that needs to be monitored by the high-ups of ministry of interior and if needed, directly by the Presidential Palace to make these investigations proper and the findings of this investigation must be made public and all those who are involved, without any discrimination of local or foreign, must be brought into justice. It is going to be tough task for the government but it is hoped that if a single similar step is taken, we would be able to get rid of similar incidents forever and ever.
