China Hosts Media Leaders  for Asia Summit

Chinese officials hosted Media Leaders for Asia Summit in Hainan province of China on Monday morning which was attended by more than 140 delegates from media around Asia, including Afghanistan.
The forum was held in Sanya City a day before the official opening of the 2018 Boao Forum for Asia annual conference and presided by Shen Haixiong, President of China Media Group.
Huang Kunming, Minister of the Central Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) delivered a speech in the summit. He reiterated “building a community with shared future”, which was proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and promoting peace and security. He said that within the past four decades of journey in reform and opening-up, China had contributed to the world’s development and it is willing to further share its development with Asia, improve people’s livelihood in terms of innovation, reform and opening-up and cooperation. He added that China seeks to promote international development based on trust and win-win cooperation.  According to Huang, Chin gives priority to neighboring countries and seeks to work and share its development with them.
Huang suggested that since Asia had been changed from a shaky and poor continent to a prosperous one, it had to hold high the banner of peace, invigorate the spirit of innovation, accelerate construction, promote sustainable economy and nurture new form of economic development.
He also reiterated the key role of media in terms of civilization. He said that media will reflect the message of a community with shared future and play as a connecting bridge for the world.
A Pakistani delegate ShafqatJalil, who delivered a speech in the summit, also stressed the key role of China in contributing to the world’s prosperity.
