NEW DELHI - India and Germany on Friday signed five agreements for cooperation in the fields of railways, housing, artificial intelligence (AI), foreign affairs, and prevention of marine litter, during the ongoing visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The agreements were signed in the presence of Merkel and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On a two-day state visit to India, Merkel landed in the Indian capital on Thursday night. On Friday, she met Modi and attended the "Fifth Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC)", following which officials from both sides signed and exchanged bilateral agreements. (Xinhua)
