Moscow Urges Baku, Yerevan to Show  Restraint in Conflict Zone

MOSCOW - The Russian Foreign Ministry is concerned about the escalated tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and has urged the conflicting sides to show restraint and to honor the ceasefire, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
"The Russian Foreign Ministry expresses its profound concern about the abrupt exacerbation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on July 12. We deem further escalation to be inadmissible and threatening to regional security. We urge the conflicting sides to show restraint and to strictly abide by the ceasefire," the statement posted on the ministry website said.
"For its part, the Russian Foreign Ministry is ready to render necessary assistance in stabilizing the situation," it said. (Interfax)
