KABUL - Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said Sunday that his team will not accept the preliminary vote results for the runoff presidential election.

Abdullah said his team will only accept results once the fraudulent votes have been separated from the clean votes.

He claimed that there been mass fraud in runoff presidential election and warned to appeal to the people of Afghanistan if the electoral bodies did not respond to his demands.

The Independent Election Commission (IEC) is expecting to release the partial vote results from the runoff presidential election on Monday.

The results were due to be released last Wednesday; however, IEC delayed the results and said the decision was taken to audit and recount votes in 1930 polling stations.

In the meantime, Abdullah said his team remains committed to defend from the clean votes of people which have been casted in his favour.

He admitted that negotiations are in progress with his rival team on technical and political aspects and ruled out any political deal. (KP)
