Audit Process to Continue Without Candidates

KABUL - Presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah boycott the audit process, while the United Nations (UN) asked Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai to withdraw from the procedure stressing that the auditing and invalidation will continue without the presence of both camps, the UN announced at press conference on Wednesday.

UN Secretary-General's Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan Nicholas Haysom said that the audit process is in its concluding phases and will be completed exclusive of either team.

"The vote invalidation process should not be delayed," Nicholas said as he was emphasizing the importance of finalizing the process. "The audit is in the final stages, so the process will move forward without the reps of either camp."

The complete audit process was ceased for a total of eight hours, but commenced a little after 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. (Tolonews)
