Etisalat Launches Social Drive to Support Primary Education

KABUL - Etisalat Afghanistan, strongly believes in conducting its business in a way that it contributes to the growth and development of the society it operates in. The company has launched various CSR programs and social campaigns in Afghanistan over the years and has made profound efforts to contribute in the growth of various sectors of Afghan society such as sports, education and health.

As part of its ongoing support to education sector with emphasis to encourage primary education in Afghanistan, the company has recently launched a drive to distribute gifts and stationary items to primary schools and educational centers throughout the country. The team recently visited Mahmoud Hotaky School, Amena-e-Fedawi Girls School, Zarghona Kindergarten in Kabul and Paghman Girls School in Paghman District.

The Etisalat team distributed more than 3000 gifts and souvenirs among the children of these schools including school bags, shirts, caps, notebooks and other stationary items and also spent some quality time with them. The team members demonstrated sheer enthusiasm and motivation during the visit. The eagerness and enthusiasm shown by children to learn and grow into a constructive part of Afghan society was highly encouraging for the Etisalat team to continue such endeavors in future as well.

The schools' management appreciated the efforts of Etisalat Afghanistan for this initiative as children feel motivated by receiving extra support to learn and seek knowledge and hence contributing to their own growth as well as of the country. They shared their happiness by mentioning that Etisalat Afghanistan is the first company to launch such a valuable project in Afghanistan at the grass root level.

The future of this country is in the hands of these children and such activities are definitely going to add value to their lives as individuals and becoming useful members of the society. They further added "Only collective efforts from the Government and private sector will increase the literacy level and employment rate of the country and shall help the children to grow successfully and represent the country in a positive manner around the world."
