Afghans’ Outlook on Current  Situation Remains Bleak: Spanta

KABUL - Former National Security Adviser, Rangin Dad Far Spanta said that the vast majority of Afghan people are tired of the continuation of the current situation.

Dr. Spanta in an exclusive interview with Ariananews said that the Afghans do not consider the continuation of current situation based on national interest; citing efforts are underway to create social justice movement, democracy and restoring the rule of law in Afghanistan on the basis of a program.

He declared that there was fierce competition between Iran and America in Afghanistan and we tried to get Afghanistan out of competition.

He further added that the current government formed based on an agreement and a legal Loya Jirga should be held before the completion of two years; otherwise the people obliged to hold a peaceful Jirga.

The former National Security Adviser stressed that the United States is a strategic partner with Afghanistan. Signing security accord with America was a perfect measure that we support it and we need the cooperation of United States. (ATN)
