Peace in Afghanistan-Region is a Must: Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD - Officials in Afghanistan presidential palace have stated that if Pakistan recognizes Afghanistan’s enemies then it’s time for Pakistan to take practical steps towards Afghanistan’s stability.

President Deputy Spokesman Sayed Zafar Hashimi mentioned that Islamabad should prevent those terrorist groups causing insecurity in Afghanistan.

However Pakistan’s National security advisor Sartaj Aziz said,” Pakistan is ready to cooperate Afghanistan in security and stability.”

Pakistan’s National security advisor Sartaj Aziz said,” peace in Afghanistan and the region is a must, regular peace will be maintained through negotiations, International community have also called for re- beginning of the Afghanistan’s peace process in between Taliban-Afghan Government, in this part Pakistan is ready to cooperate Afghanistan on the aspect.”

However President Deputy Spokesman Sayed Zafar Hashimi called for Pakistan to practice the words on joint peace in between Afghanistan-Taliban.

He said,” Pakistan should stop those terrorist groups causing insecurity in Afghanistan, if Pakistan is claiming that Afghanistan’s enemies is our enemy then it’s time for Pakistan to practice the words and take practical steps towards it.”

 Meanwhile United Nation representative in Afghanistan has also said that Afghanistan’s peace process do needs regional powerful supports, in the mean time Pakistan should also play its facilitating role in it.

Second deputy for the lower house of the parliament Mohammad Nazer Ahmadzai said,” Government should take steps what our constitution says, we don’t want one sided peace process.”

The above mentioned statements come after that Afghanistan has been trying to ensure peace and stability into Afghanistan since 13 years, officials have visited dozen times Pakistan officials over the issue but yet to see the positive impacts. (ATN)
