ANSF Fighting Enemies with High Moral: Gen. Abdullah

KABUL - Afghanistan is stuck in the war of others, but the Afghan National Army (ANA) has been fighting the enemies with a high morale, a senior military official said on Sunday.

Addressing graduation ceremony of 1,040 military officers, Chief of General Staff, Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khan, said the enemies of Afghanistan were trying through all possible ways to create problems for the country.

“Terrorism is a global phenomenon, but the war has been imposed on us I ask you, in fact Afghanistan asks you to fight against the enemies with high morale and defeat them,” he said while addressing the officers.

The enemy has lost the courage to enter a face-to-face encounter with Afghan security forces and people’s support is needed to suppress the militants, he said, while insisting on good behaviour with people.

According to the Kabul Military Training Centre (KMTC), 800 officers and 240 corporals undergo a nine-month and a three-month training respectively.

One of the graduates, Corporal Jameel Khan Atal said he learned using different kinds of weapons and some military training during the training.

“With full confident, I am ready to defend my country and devote myself to the safety of my countrymen,” he said. (Pajhwok)
