KABUL - The second-Vice President on Monday introduced six nominees for Independent Commission for Overseeing the Implementation of Constitution (ICOIC) and one for the membership of the Supreme Court (SC) High Council in the Lower House of the Parliament (Wolesi Jirga) for the vote of confidence.

Abdul Hasib Ahmadi is recommended for membership of the High Council of Supreme Court, Mohammad Qasim Hashimzai, Abdullah Shafahi, Sayed Abubakar Mutaqi, Abdul Rawouf Harwi, Arif Hafiz and Ghazaal Haris were recommended for ICOIC.

Danish said that each one of the seven nominees has higher education and years-long experience.

Lawmakers are now set to review documents of the nominees and choose a date for using their vote to approve or reject them. (KP)
