KABUL – Mashrano Jirga (Upper house of the parliament) on Sunday summoned Minister of mines and petroleum, Daud shah Saba, to provide more information on TAPI project.

Minister of mine of petroleum Daud Shah Saba said, “Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India (TAPI) gas project will create 15,000 jobs directly and Afghanistan will benefit from TAPI in 2020.”

Security officials in Afghanistan have stated that despite security challenges they are ready to provide security for the project.

Daud Shah Saba has also talked about the challenges of the gas pipe line saying this project is one of the complicated projects which will be implemented among four countries, he has expressed his optimism on Turkmenistan potentials to get all the issue resolved. (ATN)
