KABUL - Commander of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan acknowledged during his meeting with Pakistani chief of army staff, the far reaching effects of operation Zarb-e-Azb, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
General John Nicholson, the Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif in Rawalpindi on Tuesday and discussed security situation in Afghanistan.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including border coordination mechanism along Pak-Afghanistan border and security situation in Afghanistan were discussed, the ISPR said in a statement.
The visiting dignitary acknowledged the far reaching effects of operation Zarb-e-Azb and lauded the role of Pakistan Army for bringing peace and stability in the region, the office said. (Pajhwok)
