CEO wants Comprehensive Plan Presented at Brussels Summit

KABUL - Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah on Monday stressed the need for presenting a comprehensive and multifaceted national development strategy at the forthcoming summit in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
Presiding over a meeting of the Cabinet’s finance committee, Abdullah said the document to be presented at the Oct 4-5 summit should convince the international community to continue assisting Afghanistan.
A statement from the CEO’s office quoted Abdullah as saying that refugees, anti-narcotics campaign, foreign investment, environment protection, improvement in transport system and other issues should be given a space in the document.
The Ministry of Finance is tasked with preparing the document for Afghanistan to be presented at the Brussels summit.
Afghanistan’s socio-economic development, self-reliance, prosperity, priorities and promises will be mentioned in the document.
The international summit in Brussels is scheduled to take place on October 4-5 to discuss sustain economic cooperation with Afghanistan.(Pajhwok)
