Daesh Recruiting Teenagers in Nangarhar

KABUL - Nangarhar provincial council confirmed the claim and said that Daesh recruits the teenagers who lack battle experience.
A former member of Daesh fighters in Nangarhar has said that the group recruits teenagers to fight security forces in the eastern province.
Nangarhar provincial council meanwhile confirmed the claim and said Daesh recruits the teenagers who lack battle experience.
“Children and teenagers under the age of 18 are recruited by Daesh, because they are immature and emotional and the Daesh propaganda can easily affect their minds,” member of Nangarhar provincial council Asrarullah Murad said.
“Recruiting teenagers is a notorious act. They [youths] should have gone to school and learn religious taught,” said Malik Nazir, a tribal elder in Nangarhar.
Meanwhile, Mirwais Yasini, an MP from Nangarhar, said Daesh militants are taking the advantage of government’s negligence while recruiting in the province.
“There are teenagers within the Daesh group [in Afghanistan]. And meanwhile, there are a number of teenagers in security forces line as well,” Yasini stated.
Nangarhar officials also confirmed the recruiting of teenagers by Daesh in the province.
“Daesh recruits teenagers through launching propagandas. Young men are easily attracted and will start fighting the group. We have arrested a number of these teenagers,” Nangarhar governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani said.
Figures by NATO reveal that Daesh number decreased from 1,500 from 3,000 following security forces’ military operations and U.S air strikes against the fighters in the country. (Tolonews)
