KABUL - First Lady Rula Ghani has urged the mothers to rear children while teaching them peace, tolerance and patriotism for the sake of a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.
In her message on the occasion of Mother’s Day in Afghanistan, Rula Ghani was quoted as congratulating all Afghan mothers on the occasion.
She sympathized with relatives, especially the mothers, who lost their beloved ones in recent terrorist attacks in Kabul and other provinces.
Rula paid tribute to the mothers of security men who gave the supreme sacrifice in the defense of the country and those mothers who toiled in hard work while upbringing children.
“I am also a mother, yours children are mine, yours pain is mine; I and the president as spiritual father and mother of the nation would always be beside you and this is our promise.”
“I want this message reach all the mothers across the country and I want them to bring up their children for peace, each others’ acceptance, kindness, patriotism in order we witness a peaceful and stable Afghanistan in near future.”
She said the Afghanistan enemies should know the Afghan mothers had always boosted the morale of their children in a time of war and reared children with a spirit and sense of patriotism. (Pajhwok)
