Distribution of E-ID Cards Less Than a Month: Danish

KABUL - Second vice-president Sarwar Danish on Tuesday said the distribution process of electronic national identity cards would begin in less than one month.
While overseeing the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Education and other government organs here, Danish said people had high expectations from the government regarding e-ID cards distribution.
He assured the people that high-level steps had been taken to launch the cards distribution process.
The VP said the Presidential Palace referred the issue of registering tribe in new ID cards to the Supreme Court for a final word in light of Article 4 of the Constitution.
With finalization of the ethnicity registration issue, distribution of e-ID cards would begin in less than a month, he said.
He said the Central Statistics Organization (CSO) would open four e-ID cards distribution centers in capital Kabul and the centers would be equipped with all needed facilities. (Pajhwok)
