KABUL - President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has been awarded the diploma of conferring him the title of Honorary Doctor of Bukhara State University, a media report said on Wednesday.
During the visit to the Bukhara State University, Ghani met with professors, teachers and addressed the students.
“I dreamed of visiting Bukhara, which played an important role in development of world science and Islamic civilization. I want to sincerely thank the distinguished President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for this opportunity,” Ghani said.
The land of Uzbekistan brought up many great thinkers, including Imam Bukhari and Imam Termizi. The youth who are educated here brought up by worthy ancestors, said President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
This university is one of the largest higher education institutions of our country. Seven thousand students and graduate students have been studying at eight faculties of the university.
The president left a note in the Book of honorable guests of the university.  (Pajhwok)
