Council Of Ministers Gets New Building Worth 138m Afs

KABUL - A new building for the Council of Ministers has been constructed at a cost of 138 million afghanis and put into service at the Sapidar Palace in Kabul.
Dr. Abudullah Abdullah, chief executive officer (CEO), said at the inaugural ceremony on Monday: “Constriction work on the structure was launched one year ago.”
He added the building had a cabinet meeting hall and other small offices. Previously, meetings were held in the CEO office. Now the new building would be the venue of meetings.
The CEO said the project had been executed by a private construction company and funded by the government.
Asadullah, an official of the Harirod Company and in charge of the project, said the building had been constructed on about 2,250 square metres.
“The building has been constructed to modern standard and we have tried to use domestically-produced materials. But windows and gates came from abroad,” he concluded. (Pajhwok)
