TAPI Pipeline a Flagship Scheme, Says Pakistan PM

PESHAWAR - Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says his country attached great importance to a four-nation gas supply project.
The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline was a flagship venture that included road network, railway lines and laying of fibre optic.
During his visit to Nepal on Tuesday, the prime minister visited the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Secretariat in Kathmandu.
Pakistan remained committed to SAARC objectives and attached great importance to the forum as a vibrant vehicle of regional cooperation based on the principle of sovereign equality.
He believed SAARC could help boost the economies of member countries and promote collaboration in various areas of mutual significance.
At a meeting later on, Nepalese PM Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli and Abbasi conferred on CPEC and China’s One Belt One Road (OBOR) project. (Pajhwok)
