Agreement Signed on  Accelerating Postal Service

KABUL - The Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) on making quick postal services in the country.
The MoU was signed between Head of Afghan Post Ahmad Waheed Wais and MoTCA’s coordination affairs head Wais Sultani here in the presence of Telecommunication and Information Minister Shazada Aryubi.
Aryubi termed the agreement as vital for dignity and reliance of the Afghan Post and said the agreement would enable the institution to discharge it services quickly.
Transport Minister Mohammad Hameed Thamasi said: “The two ministries have cooperation in the transfer of posts but what we need is greater cooperation.”
He said under the agreement the Transport Ministry would provide secure and safe transfer of post through registered and reliable companies in Kabul and from Kabul to provinces.
Tahmasi said as many as 300 transport companies existed in the country and among them were some standard firms as well, but a scrutiny in this regard was underway. (Pajhowk)
