KABUL - The military commander, who has spent the past ten years on the battlefield, has served in Helmand, Badakhshan and Kunduz.
An Afghan National Army (ANA) commander Hamed Saifi, who has led the war against insurgents for almost a decade across Afghanistan, has suggested that fundamental changes need to be brought in the way Afghan security forces are trained.
Speaking to TOLOnews, Saifi, who is deployed to Kunduz’sDasht-e-Archi district, said he has spent almost ten years on the battlefield. 
“When the national army was established, our love for the country and love for the defense of the country and love for Islam encouraged us to join the national army,” said Saifi.
Saifi has served in Helmand, Badakhshan and Kunduz provinces.
“The experiences of the commanders must be included in the training curricula so that we can curb casualties and defeat the enemy,” added Saifi.
“For higher morale in the army, there should be a reward and punishment system so that we can achieve success; the ones who are talented must be promoted; promotions should not be on the orders of someone whether it is me or someone else,” said MP FarishtaAmini. (Tolo news)
