KABUL - Ministry of Defense says the Commando Unit of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are conducting 68 operations in different provinces.
The Ministry of Defense has admitted that in addition to Farah the Taliban is trying to capture strategic areas in 12 provinces but said that to thwart this plan, the country’s Commando troops are involved in 68 operations across Afghanistan.
“Jaghato and Zana Khan districts witnessed heavy fights last night but now the situation is better there. Our forces have arrived in the area and the enemy is on the run,” Radmanish said.
“The enemy selects strategic areas which have high importance for them in terms of propaganda even if they capture it for one hour,” said AtiqullahAmarkhail, a former military officer.
Baghlan is among those provinces which has faced high security threats in the past 12 days.
“We had warned that TalaWaBarfak district will fall but no one paid attention,” said Sayed Same Kayani, a civil society activist in Baghlan.
“TalaWaBarfak is a strategic area which can be infiltrated by the enemy from different sides,” said AyubShahryar, a civil society activist.
The head of the Wolesi Jirga, Lower House of Parliament, secretariat MirdadNijtabi questioned the war management by security agencies.
“I am wondering how the enemy is able to reduce the morale of security forces?” How can they seize military equipment including tanks?” he asked.  (Tolo news)
