NATO to Provide 50 Helicopters  to Afghan Air Force: Ghani

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani has said the NATO Resolute Support (RS) mission would soon deliver 50 helicopters to the Afghanistan air force.
The president, who visited southern Kandahar province on Monday, met with 205thAtal Military Corps soldiers and officers, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
The military officials shared some suggestions with the president regarding the air force, security and defense forces, funding, equipment and salaries.
After hearing their suggestions, Ghani tanked the military body for their sacrifices, efforts, bravery and honesty in the defense of the country.
The statement quoted Ghani as saying that the RS mission would provide 50 helicopters to the Afghan Air Force and other problems would be resolved gradually.
“Some youth left the country when it was in a difficult situation, but you kept the glory and honor. As the top commander, I am proud of you,” Ghani told the soldiers.
He ordered solution to problems in the promotion and privileges of security and defense forces. (Pajhwok)
