Taliban Kill 2 Border Policemen, 6 Arrested in Takhar

TALOQAN - Two border police personnel have been killed and six others captured alive by Taliban militants in the Dashti Kala district of northeastern Takhar province, an official on Saturday.
Abdul Qayyum Qane, the district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban insurgents stormed the Aye-Khanum port late on Friday night.
He said during the overnight attack two border policemen were killed, three wounded and six others captured by the militants. The attackers also torched some vehicles of security officials, he said.
Meanwhile, resident Abdul Jabbar expressed his deep  concern over the instability of area. He said the rebels had constructed posts in Darqad, Yangi Kala and Khwaja Bahauddin districts. He said all routes had been closed to security officials.
On the other hand, the militants claimed killing dozens of policemen and capturing alive six others in Dashti Kala district. (Pajhwok)
