Saudi Arabia Pledges  Assistance to Afghanistan

KABUL - Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Afghanistan has pledged support not only for Afghan pilgrims in upcoming Hajj season but also assured assistance in time of need, a statement from the Saudi Embassy in Kabul said.
The Saudi envoy reiterated the commitment during a meeting with Hajj and Religious Affairs Minister Faiz Mohammad Usmani who called on him here.
Usmani discussed Hajj related issues including facilitation of Afghan pilgrims during the performance of religious ritual.
The Saudi envoy was asked to provide more facilitation of Afghan Pilgrims, support cultural, education ties with Afghanistan and help the war-torn country in the establishment of peace and stability.
The Saudi envoy pledged its support to Afghanistan in every field and on international level. Saudi Arabia is one of the key countries in the global politics and play vital role.
At the end the Saudi envoy was awarded gift and presents locally produced and as symbol of the representation of the culture of Afghanistan to the people of Saudi Arabia and those gifts were warmly accepted and welcomed by the Saudi envoy.
High ranking officials of the Hajj and Religious Affairs Ministry were present during the meeting, the statement said. (Pajhwok)
