Afghanistan wins Gold,  Bronze Medals in Korea Open Int’l Taekwondo Championships

KABUL - Afghanistan won two Gold and two Bronze medals during the Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships.
The Afghanistan Taekwondo Federation officials are saying that two Afghan athletes, Nisar Ahmad Abdul Rahimzai and Farzad Mansoori , won Gold Medals while two others, Mohsin Rezaye and Ramesh Hussaini, won Bronze Medals during the championship.
The officials further added that Nisar Ahmad Abdul Rahimzai managed to defeat his rival from USA during the final of the championship and bagged a Gold Medal for Afghanistan.
Similarly, Farzad Mansoori, managed to defeat his rivals from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Thailand to win another Gold Medal for the country.
According to Taekwondo Federation officials, the two other Afghan athletes, Mohsin Rezaye and Ramesh Hussaini, each won Bronze Medals for Afghanistan.
The Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships were organized in Jeju of South Korea where around 2,600 athletes from 60 countries had taken part.
The Korean Open International Taekwondo Championships ended late on Monday evening, three days after the Championships kicked off in Jeju. (KP)
