Ghani, Dostum Meet after Long Time, Talk Key Issues

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani and first vice-president Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum met on Monday for the first time after a long time.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said the meeting was attended by second vice-president Sarwar Danish and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah.
Without giving details, the statement said the meeting discussed some important national issues.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a tweet said they talked about recent political and security situation of the country.
Dostum returned to Kabul few days back after spending around 13 months in Turkey.
On return, Dostum said he had traveled to Turkey for medical treatment and chose to return after being advised by doctors there.
However, some sources say Dostum stayed in Turkey as he was wanted by the Attorney General Office in rape and torture case involving his political rival Ahmad Ischi.
An official, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok that Dostum was following his case in the judicial organs after his return. (Pajhwok)
