Taliban Attack Defense Ministry

Taliban Attack Defense Ministry

KABUL - Some suicide attackers, wearing military uniforms, sneaked into the defense ministry building in the heavily-fortified Afghan capital city, killing two Afghan soldiers and wounding seven others, an official said on Monday.
One of the attackers in a military uniform blew himself up and killed two Afghan soldiers and wounded seven others, a defense ministry source told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The situation is under control and an investigation has been launched to identify the suicide attacker, the source said, without giving further details.
A rebel spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying the assailants were Taliban-linked Afghan army soldiers.
He said defense ministers of Afghanistan and France and some generals of foreign forces, who were in a meeting at the ministry, were the target.
