Abdullah Leaves for  Two-Day Visit to Indonesia

KABUL - Abdullah, who is leading a delegation will meet with the Indonesian Ulema Council, with their Chambers of Business and Industry and with members of the country’s election commission, the statement said, adding that Abdullah was invited by Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, Vice President of Indonesia.
Abdullah will also speak at the Center for Foreign Policy Studies of Indonesia and discussed peace and reconciliation issues,the statement said.
During this trip, Abdullah will also discuss the relations between Afghanistan and Indonesia, the implementation of the agreements, developing of trade relations, Indonesia’s role over Afghanistan peace process and fighting against insurgency.
This comes after The Vice President of Indonesia Mohammad Jusuf Kalla reaffirmed his country’s support to the Afghan peace and reconciliation process in a meeting with Chairman of High Peace Council Mohammad Karim Khalili in Kabul earlier this year.
The High Peace Council said at the time that the two sides discussed the upcoming religious scholars conference in Jakarta and the post-Kabul Process plans.
The High Peace Council said the Indonesian vice president said his country will fully support the peace process in Afghanistan. (Tolo news)
