KABUL - Based on a presidential decree, 12, 000 families of martyred security forces will receive food coupons over the nine months in Kabul, a statement said on Wednesday.
The statement from the National Procurement Commission said food items including flour, rice, ghee, tea, sugar and pulses would be provided to the families of martyred security personnel against the coupons.
Omar Hotaki, the commission press secretary, told Pajhwok distribution process of the coupons would be started first in Kabul in cooperation of related offices and then the process would be extended to other provinces.
He further said the food items would be distributed against ‘confirmed coupon’ each month and a joint committee of the National Procumbent Authority would oversee the distribution process.
The ministries of defense, interior, public works, the NDS and disabled persons supporting organizations have been tasked with preparing lists of families of martyrs from other provinces to receive the coupons in future. (Pajhwok)
