IEC Unveils Election  Results of Baghlan Province, Hindu Constituency

KABUL - The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has announced the Wolesi Jirga elections results of northern Baghlan province and Hindu minority.
According to the IEC statement, Alhaj Asadullah Shabaz got 8,738 votes, Mohammad Azeem Muhsani got 6,481 votes, Alhaj Mamour Ahmadzai got 5,508 votes, Dr. Mohammad Naseem Mudabir received 4,895 votes, Alhaj Ustad Abdul Razaq Hashami got 4,345 votes, Shukria Esakhel received 4,701 votes and Nooria Hameedi received 2,775 votes in the preliminary result of Baghlan province.
Amongst the Hindu minority, Narandar Singh Khalesa emerged as the leading candidate with 303 votes.
A well-placed source said that the results of Kabul province and Kochi constituency would be announced in the coming week.  (Pajhwok)
