2 Killed, 24 Injured as Serial  Bomb Blasts Rock Kabul

KABUL - Two people were killed and 24 others injured including four security personnel and a journalist in three back to back bomb blasts in central capital Kabul on Sunday, an official said.
First blast
The first blast took place at around 8:00am targeting a vehicle of Ustad Rabani University, said Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
He said a shopkeeper was killed and ten students of the university were injured in the blast. The explosives were planted on a bicycle.
Second and third blasts
The second blast happened nearly 20 minutes after the first blast and the third blast took place 15 minutes apart the second blast.
Rahimi said a journalist, three policemen and four personnel of the National Directorate of Security were wounded in the back to back explosions.
Wahidullah Mayar, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), said two bodies and 24 injured people, including four women, had been shifted to hospitals.
According to a Pajhwok reporter, windowpanes of nearby houses and shops were shattered, a vehicle damaged while blood, books and pens of students were seen littered inside the bus.
Abdul Rahman, an eyewitness, said the first blast happened on students’ bus in which many students were injured.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing spree.  (Pajhwok)
