Power Supply to Kabul, Other Provinces Resumes

KABUL - Power supply to 11 provinces, including Kabul, resumed on Thursday after the fixing of a fault in Salang area, an official said.
Mohammad Nasir Ahmadi, power utility head for central Parwan province, told Pajhwok Afghan News the electricity supply was restored reconnected at 12:30pm.
He said the destroyed pylon would be repaired in 10 days. Until then, he added, there would be load shedding of two to three hours daily.
On Tuesday night, power supply from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to 11 provinces was snapped as a result of a predawn blast.
The official called on security forces to ensure the protection of power pylons because their repair was difficult in the winter. (Pajhwok)
