Afghan Election: ECC Makes Decisions on 4,362 Complaints

KABUL - The Electoral Complaints Commission said on Wednesday it made decision on 4,362 electoral complaints.
A total of 4,528 complaints had been registered in 34 provinces with the commission arranging them in 32 categories.
Speaking at a press conference, an ECC official said that 4,362 complaints in 11 different categories were addressed.
179 complaints were considered special and major ones which will beprobedat the commission’s headquarters, he said.
He said that 1,780 complaints were rejected due to lack of evidence.
Ballots from 1,817 polling stations will be recounted. Those from 77 polling stations were invalidated as they were declared closed by the Independent Election Commission due to security threats.
Meanwhile, 54 people including high-level officials were fined. (1TV News)
