Firozkoh - “Program of Supporting Education in Rural Areas of Afghanistan” has been implemented based on a MoU with MoE funded by Qatar government (Qatar Hilal Ahmar) and implemented by an Afghan Charity Organization (Afghan Charity Society) in Ghor province. The program included provision of containers, Tents for classroom, benches, and text books, stationary and supplementary materials.
The mentioned materials were officially submitted to the relevant schools during a ceremony conducted in Alaeuddin High School in Firozkoh the provincial center of Gohr. Ghor Governor, High ranking officials of Education department, Head and embers of Ghor provincial Council, Chief of Qatar Hilal Ahmar and the high ranking delegation of Qatar Hilal Ahmar, other relevant government officials, principles of schools, members of the local council of schools receiving the donations, teaches, and students attended the handover ceremony.
The mentioned school  items including 4 containers, 32 tents for classes, 410 benches and desks, 7,803 text books, 798 stationary packages including more than 20,000 notebooks, pen and other school items (each package including 1 school bag, 5 notebooks, 5 pens, 5 pencils, 12 color pencils and one geometry box) and 270 school supplementary materials will be submitted to the principles of the relevant schools and members of the local schools councils in the presence of the high ranking provincial officials.
Ghiabi ha high school, Kichak female secondary school, Wardaks female primary school and Bibi Aiesha primary female school in center of Firozkoh have been covered by this program benefitting from Qatar donations. Totally, the schools have 798 boys and girls students.
Program of “Supporting Schools in Rural Areas of Afghanistan”, have been funded by Qatar Hilal Ahmar and implemented by an Afghan charity organization (Afghan Charity Society) since 5 years ago in Afghanistan.
The first phase of this program was implemented in Paktia, Paktika and Logar provinces. The second phase of the program is being implemented in Oruzgan and Ghor provinces. The total budgets of these 2 projects have been about $300,000.
