PESHAWAR - Pakistan on Wednesday voiced stout support for the upcoming meeting in Moscow on the Afghanistan peace process.
"The next round is being held in Moscow at an opportune moment as it would provide an important opportunity to review the currently stalled peace process," the Foreign Office spokesman said.
Addressing a regular weekly media briefing in Islamabad, Dr. Mohammad Faisal promised Pakistan would continue supporting international efforts for peace in Afghanistan.
About the intra-Afghan dialogue in Beijing, Dr Faisal said he did not have any update on that conference. However, he did confirm Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming four-party meeting in Moscow.
"Pakistan has been part of all efforts and processes so far to discuss and facilitate peace and reconciliation efforts in Afghanistan,” he added. (Pajhwok)
