KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani has accepted the resignation letter of acting Mining and Patrolmen Minister Nargis Nehan.
A well-placed source told Pajhwok Afghan News that Nehan tendered her resignation due to personal problems on October 22 and the president had approved her resignation.
Enayatullah Momand, technical secretary of the ministry, has replaced Nehan as acting minister of mining and petroleum, according to a presidential decree.
Nehan was appointed as mining minister two years back but she failed to obtain the vote of confidence vote from Wolesi Jirga.
On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani also resigned citing differences with government policies. (Pajhwok)
